Regulation of the Auction
- A Contemporary Art Auction will be organized for the benefit of the Bátor Tábor Foundation – Foundation – on 10 May, 2024 in Budapest at the Eiffel Art Studios in co-operation with and under the supervision of the Kieselbach Gallery and Auction House.
- The auction’s format will be hybrid, we accept live bids by numbered bidding paddles from the room and online bids on the online auction platform https://liveauction.batortabor.hu at the same time during the auction. The auctioneer will be Ms Nóra Winkler.
- The auction items are available both in an online and a printed catalog, and will be exhibited at Kiscell Museum on the auction day. The descriptions and illustrations in the catalogs serve as identification of the artworks only. It is the responsibility of the Buyer to verify the condition of each artwork and check, if they comply with the information of the catalogs before the auction.
- The Artists assume all responsibilities for authenticity of their own artworks. If the work is not original against the information of the catalog, the Buyer can make complaints within 3 months from the first recognition, but latest within 5 years from the auction, when the specific artwork was purchased.
- Bidding at the auction is possible after registration only.

- a form must be signed with all requested data of the Buyer on site for those, who take part personally in the auction
- in case of bidding online your registration on the platform will be approved within 24-48 hours. After this you can log in to your account with the e-mail address and password given earlier.
- We accept telephone biddings and absentee bids, as well. By registering the Buyers accept the Auction Conditions.
- The Buyer offering the highest bid shall acquire the winning title of the artwork. Items cannot be purchased under the starting price.
- The Foundation cannot take responsibility for the hammer prices of the artworks, it depends in every case on the bidding situation. Bids can be made according to the primary bidding increments below:
- It is strongly forbidden to force a third party to buy a lot significantly above the market price and induce damage or loss by this action.
- The Buyer becomes the owner of an item once all conditions of payment have been fulfilled and the artwork has been collected from the storage of the Foundation.
- Payment conditions of the artworks are the followings:

- Artists are entitled to 40% of the hammer price of the artwork. This payment is to be completed by the Buyer in return of an invoice or sales and purchase contract directly to the Artist’s account. Contracts are provided right after the auction, invoices are provided later on by the Artists themselves.
- The rest of the hammer price serves as a donation to the Foundation. The donation agreements are provided to the Buyers after the auction. The Foundation may provide a tax certificate on the donated amount in that case, if the Buyer is a registered company.
- The share of the hammer price between the Artists and the Foundation may vary in some cases, the Buyers will be informed accordingly.
- Payment: the Foundation informs the Buyers by e-mail within 10 days after the auction including the relevant bank account numbers and the amounts to be paid. The payment has to be completed within 7 working days after the receipt of the email.
- After completion of the payment the purchased artworks can be collected from the storage of the Foundation (1135 Budapest, Reitter Ferenc street 50.) within 30 days after the auction. If the buyer fails to ship the item purchased, then the Foundation has the right to charge 5% of the hammer price as storage fee after 40 days from the auction.
- If the payment is not completed in 30 days after the auction, the Artist will get back his/her artwork unsold.
- The insurance of the artworks expires on 20 June, 2024 and the Foundation can’t take responsibility for any damages to the artworks any longer after that time.
- The prices in EURO in the catalogs are for information only, the payment has to be completed according to the actual daily exchange rate of the Hungarian National Bank.
- In case of questions, which are not settled in this agreement, the paragraphs of Civil Code are the standards.
